The National for Commission for Higher Education (NCHE) was established in August 2011 by a presidential Degree as a body corporate to make better provisions for the advancement of Higher Education in Somaliland

Vision - The commission is to ensure the development of Somaliland’s Higher Education Institutions as centers of academic excellence that meet the development needs of Somaliland and global competitiveness.

Mission - The NCHE mission is to develop and strengthen quality Higher Education program that promote research, knowledge transfer and long-life learning and produce individuals who are component innovative and with high moral values to meet the nation’s aspirations.
